ADOC < 50% of diameter: Tool only cuts on part of its radius. Calculate effective cutting diameter (De) and use it for RPM and chip load — do not use actual D.
ADOC ≥ 50% of diameter: Use standard slotting speeds & feeds with actual D. Apply long-reach projection correction if gauge length exceeds 2.5×D.
